Mobotec's Fuel Distribution Control

"IT MAKES THE BOILER FEEL IT HAS ONLY ONE BURNER!"
Mobotec has successfully installed its multi-pollutant system commercially in Sweden. Further evaluation has now been performed in the United States with a Full-scale Evaluation of Mobotec's Multi-Pollutant Reduction Technology at Progress Energy's Cape Fear Generating Station Unit 5.
The results include:
Stable SO2 reductions of 69% with trona and 64% with limestone.
Mercury reductions of 89% with limestone and 67% with trona.
Tests consisted of a team formed in March of 2002 which included personnel from Progress Energy, Mobotec USA, Wiley & Associates, URS, Chemical Lime, Solvay Minerals and the Department of Energy (DOE). Funding for then tests was supplied by Mobotec USA, Progress Energy and the DOE.
